The main purpose of ASW-01 is to change the direction of motor rotation by switching the power supply polarity. Depending on which direction the button is pressed, voltage with the corresponding polarity is supplied to the output contacts: "+ / −" or "− / +".

This scheme is convenient for an electric window regulator: when the button is pressed in one direction, the motor raises the window, and when pressed in the opposite direction, it lowers it. After releasing the window switch returns to the neutral position, and the motor power is cut off.

The (ON)-OFF-(ON) scheme means that the switch has a central neutral position OFF and two momentary operating positions. The parentheses in the (ON) designation indicate precisely the lack of fixation - for the contact to work, the key must be held down.
